Evangelist Ebuka Obi has denied allegations that he colluded with the ailing actor, John Okafor, better known as Mr Ibu, to stage a miracle at his church.
The allegations were made by a traditionalist who claimed that Mr Ibu had faked a miracle in order to deceive the public, as recalled by Beyond Boders.
He expressed happiness over Mr Ibu’s leg amputation, which he attributed to the consequences of the deceitful act.
Obi in response to the allegations, told his congregation that Mr Ibu had come to his church on his own and that he did not even know the actor, let alone inviting him to his church.
He said that he only realized that Mr Ibu was a celebrity when people drew his attention to his presence in the church.
Furthermore, Obi denied that Mr Ibu had ever solicited prayers of healing from him or given a testimony at Zion Ministry’s altar, stating that the only complaint Mr Ibu had made was about financial backwardness, and that he had given him some money to help him out.
Consequently, he lamented the countless false narratives that people had developed about him in order to amass views, comparing his situation to that of the late clergyman, T.B Joshua.
