Results from the qualifying exam for potential permanent secretaries have shown that 40 out of 92 directors did not pass.
This exam, held on May 27, 2024, aimed to assess the readiness of directors for the position of permanent secretary.
According to information obtained from Abuja, where the exam took place, 40 directors scored below 50%, marking their failure.
Additionally, the results indicate that three directors were absent, while one could not finish the exam.
In a memo dated May 28, 2024, from the Office of the Head of Service, with reference number “HCSF/CMO/AOD/012/IX/59,” it was mentioned that the next phase of assessment will be an ICT-based test.

The circular, dated April 19, 2024, and titled “HCSF/CMO/AOD/012/IX/24,” outlined the criteria for eligibility.
Furthermore, it specified that candidates must have held the position of substantive Director on Salary Grade Level 17 on or before January 1, 2022, among other conditions.
