by Beyondboders

A heartbreaking incident has led to the temporary closure of The Brickhall School in Abuja.

The school made a solemn decision to mourn the passing of its young pupil, Miguel Ovoke, aged four, by closing its doors for one week.

Miguel’s untimely demise was reported by Excel Specialist Hospital in Abuja. According to the medical report signed by Dr. Akinwande Ajayi, Miguel choked on a piece of meat while having his meal at school.

Despite efforts by medical professionals to save him, Miguel was declared “Brought in Dead.”

The hospital’s report described Miguel’s condition upon arrival as critical. His pupils were fixed and dilated, showing no response to light.

The school, in a statement released by its management, expressed deep sorrow over the loss of young Miguel.

Despite the swift response of the school’s trained nurse and the decision to rush him to the hospital, Miguel could not be saved.

In honour of Miguel’s memory, Brickhall School suspended classes for a week, allowing the community time to grieve and reflect.

The school urged everyone involved to respect Miguel’s memory with dignity and peace while awaiting the conclusions of the autopsy by medical professionals and law enforcement agencies.

“It is with profound sorrow and deepest sympathy that we at Brickhall School, Management, and the Parents Teacher’s Forum express our heartfelt condolences to the family of our dearly beloved pupil, Miguel Ovoke.

“Out of respect for Miguel’s memory and to honour his bright spirit, we suspended classes for over a week, allowing our community time to mourn and reflect on this profound loss.”
