‘Nigeria Needs Real Solutions, Not Empty Promises,’ Catholic Priest Challenges Tinubu

by Beyondboders

Rev Fr Chinenye Oluoma, a respected Priest from the Catholic Archdiocese of Abuja, has voiced deep concerns about Nigeria’s current state under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership.

In a recent statement on his Facebook page titled ‘RENEWED SHEGE,’ Oluoma emphasized the urgent need for tangible improvements in the lives of Nigerians.

He stressed that instead of offering mere hope, politicians must focus on delivering essential services like jobs, electricity, education, healthcare, and security.

Comparing hope to a temporary painkiller, Oluoma pointed out that hope alone cannot solve the pressing issues faced by Nigerians.

He highlighted the alarming depreciation of the naira against the dollar, which has led to skyrocketing prices of basic necessities like bread.

Oluoma questioned the effectiveness of Tinubu’s “hope agenda,” arguing that it does not address the root causes of Nigeria’s problems, criticizing the government for prioritizing rhetoric over action, while calling for concrete measures to improve the lives of citizens.

The priest also challenged the role of politicians in providing hope, suggesting that religious leaders should take the lead in offering spiritual guidance.

He emphasized that it is the government’s responsibility to create job opportunities and ensure the welfare of its people.

Oluoma urged for a shift in governance towards policies that prioritize the needs of ordinary Nigerians. He called for an end to the cycle of empty promises and urged leaders to focus on tangible solutions to uplift the country.

Beyond Boders further reports that Oluoma emphasized the urgent need for change, stating that Nigerians deserve better than vague assurances and rhetoric.

He called for policies that prioritize the well-being of citizens and provide real solutions to the challenges facing the nation.
