Early on Saturday morning, a truck crashed into a Lagos State BRT bus at Ibafo bus-stop on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
Witnesses at the scene said the accident happened a few minutes before 6 am.
Emergency workers from the Federal Road Safety Corps and the Police were quickly on the scene, but said only their Public Relations Officers could provide details.
Eyewitnesses reported that many people on the BRT bus were injured, adding that the bus was parked and picking up passengers when the truck, carrying cows and heading to Lagos, hit it. The impact pushed the bus off the road, damaging nearby shops and kiosks.
The truck has been moved to prevent further traffic issues.
