Harry Potter’s Sir Michael Gambon Passes On at 82

Hogwarts headmaster Albus Dumbledore in six of the eight “Harry Potter” films, whose real name is Sir Michael Gambon, has passed on.

Gambon’s publicist, Clair Dobbs Beyond Boders reports, released a statement
on Thursday, September 28 on behalf of his wife, Lady Gambon, and son, Fergus, disclosing that the renowned actor died peacefully in the hospital following a bout with pneumonia.

“We are devastated to announce the loss of Sir Michael Gambon,” the statement said. “Beloved husband and father, Michael died peacefully in hospital with his wife Anne and son Fergus at his bedside, following a bout of pneumonia. Michael was 82.

“We ask that you respect our privacy at this painful time and thank you for your messages of support and love.”
