Celtic Triumphs Over St Mirren with Late Goal

by Beyondboders

Celtic secured a thrilling 3-2 win against St Mirren with a late goal from Luis Palma; this victory came on the same day they celebrated their Scottish Premiership title at Parkhead.

St Mirren’s captain, Mark O’Hara, gave his team the lead twice. However, Celtic fought back with goals from Matt O’Riley and Kyogo Furuhashi, making it 2-2 by halftime.

The second half was quieter, but in the 86th minute, Palma scored from a cross by Anthony Ralston, sealing the win for Celtic.

In another match, Rangers drew 3-3 with Hearts at Tynecastle. They initially had a two-goal lead, but Hearts made a strong comeback.

Lawrence Shankland scored for Hearts, and Ross McCausland equalized for Rangers. Todd Cantwell put Rangers ahead again, and Fábio Silva scored a third goal.

However, Hearts’ Dexter Lembikisa and Kyosuke Tagawa scored late goals, ending the match in a draw.

Dundee and Kilmarnock also played to a 1-1 draw at Dens Park. Dundee’s captain Luke McCowan equalized after Gary Mackay-Steven’s opening goal for Kilmarnock.

McCowan missed a late penalty that could have won the game for Dundee, especially after Kilmarnock’s Robbie Deas was sent off.

Both managers, Tony Docherty and Derek McInnes, continue to see their teams evenly matched this season.
