A well-known face from the TV show General Hospital, Johnny Wactor, met a tragic end in Los Angeles.
The actor, 37, whose life was cut short in a devastating incident on a Saturday, was shot dead during what appeared to be a robbery gone horribly wrong.
According to reports, he encountered masked individuals attempting to steal his car, mistaking them for tow truck drivers. In an attempt to intervene, things took a fatal turn.
The unfortunate event unfolded around 3:25 am near West Pico Boulevard and South Hope Street.
Wactor, accompanied by a female colleague, was leaving his part-time job at a rooftop bar when he spotted three masked men.

Believing his car was being towed, he confronted them, unaware of the danger he faced.
The Los Angeles Police Department revealed that one of the masked individuals fired at Wactor before fleeing the scene in a separate vehicle.
Despite swift medical attention, Wactor succumbed to his injuries after being rushed to a nearby hospital.
As of now, the masked suspects responsible for the shooting remain unidentified and at large, leaving authorities and the community in shock and mourning over the loss of the talented actor.
