Family Announces Burial Date for Nollywood Actor, Amaechi Muonagor

The family of the late Nollywood actor, Amaechi Muonagor, has shared details about his burial.

The well-loved actor will be buried on June 21, 2024, in his hometown, Ugamuma village, Obosi, Anambra State.

A poster from his family invites friends, fans, and well-wishers to attend the burial events, highlighting Muonagor’s lasting impact on the film industry.

The events will begin on Thursday, June 20, 2024, with a service of songs at his home at 6 pm.

On Friday, June 21, 2024, the funeral will start at 7 am, while his body will be moved from Crown Hospital Mortuary to his home for a lying-in-state.

The burial service will follow at 10 am at his home in the School of Health, Ugamuma Obosi. He will be laid to rest immediately after the service in his compound.

The family will also hold a thanksgiving service on Sunday, June 23, 2024, at St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Ugamuma Obosi, starting at 10 am.

Beyond Boders recalls that Muonagor died on March 24, 2024, at 67 years old, after battling kidney problems, diabetes, and a stroke.

He was known for his versatile acting in both comedy and epic films. His family remembers him as a loving son, father, husband, brother, and uncle, and a talented actor whose legacy will always be cherished.

“We would appreciate your esteemed presence as we lay to rest our beloved son, husband, father, brother, and uncle. Join us in celebrating the life of a Nollywood icon,” the family stated.
