by Beyondboders

Ferdinand Agu, the former top boss of NIMASA, which is the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, has sadly passed away.

Sources tell us that Mr. Agu was at a wedding in Abuja just yesterday until late evening, but this morning, he suffered a heart attack and could not make it through.

A close friend confirmed the news, saying, “It is true. This is a devastating news. I spoke with him yesterday. He was hale and hearty. We exchanged our usual jokes. Now, this! I am just back from the hospital. His remains have been taken to the mortuary. This life is meaningless.”

Beyond Boders notes that Ferdinand Agu, an important figure, known for his work in architecture, gained a lot of experience working in the private sector and advising big companies.

He was also appointed by President Goodluck Jonathan as a Senior Special Assistant between 2011 and 2015, showing his expertise in his field.

Agu received many awards during his lifetime, recognizing his contributions to different sectors, while being dedicated to serving his country and making positive impacts.

After his time in the government, he took on a new role at the Federal University of Health Sciences, continuing his dedication to service.

Throughout his life, he always encouraged young Nigerians to learn from their elders and find their own path to making a difference.

One of his famous quotes was, “There are times when young people must break from the crowd and find themselves, and if they do it in an earnest spirit of seeking meaning, then they will become those leaders that we are looking for tomorrow.”
