Nigeria is gearing up to send its first civilian into space, marking a historic milestone for the country.
The announcement came from Dr. Mathew Adepoju, Director General of the National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA), during a press conference in Abuja on Wednesday.
Dr. Adepoju revealed that this groundbreaking initiative is a result of collaboration between NASRDA and The Space Exploration and Research Agency.
He highlighted the significance of this partnership, stating, “This collaboration, which is coming to the country, marks a significant milestone in Nigeria’s 25th anniversary of Space Exploration journey and opens new opportunities for scientific research and technological advancement.”
This achievement not only showcases Nigeria’s advancement in scientific research but also opens doors to new technological opportunities.
