Passport Fee Increases

Starting July 1, 2024, passport fees will also rise. Details about these increases have not yet been given, but they will apply to all applications submitted after this date.

The government said these changes aim to improve the immigration and citizenship systems in Australia. The fees increase each year based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI).

From July 1, 2024, anyone applying for citizenship online or by mail must pay the new fees. Applications are only complete when the Department of Home Affairs receives both the application and the correct fee.
