Manchester United is planning to hire Christopher Vivell, who used to work as the technical director at Chelsea, to help with their recruitment efforts.
Vivell will start on a short-term basis to assist during the current transfer window. However, he might stay longer if the club decides to keep him.
United wants to improve its football leadership and recruitment teams.
Vivell was put on gardening leave by Chelsea last July, only seven months after he started working there. Before Chelsea, he worked for the Red Bull group in Salzburg and Leipzig.
This decision follows the recent announcement of Dan Ashworth as Manchester United’s new sporting director.
