Celine Dion plans to return to the stage, even though she has a rare disease called stiff-person syndrome, according to Metro UK.
The 56-year-old singer might perform at the opening of the 2024 Paris Olympics. Even with her illness, she might sing at this big event.
In 2022, Celine told everyone she has stiff-person syndrome. This disease makes her muscles stiff and causes spasms.
Celine has always loved performing. She wants to sing live again.
Sources say she sees the Paris Olympics as a great chance to sing for her fans.

A source told The Sun, “Celine has made no secret of her desire to make it back to the stage, and Paris would be the perfect opportunity for her to do that.”
For this event, Celine would only need to sing one song. This makes it easier for her to manage with her illness. She is excited but has not decided for sure yet.
The source also said, “The formal offer to perform was made earlier this year, and Celine is working around the clock to make it happen. She’s made huge leaps and is getting stronger every day, but she’s not out of the woods yet. Everyone has their Âfingers crossed it is able to happen. It will be quite the moment.”
Despite her illness, Celine stays strong. She does not let the disease control her.
In her documentary, “I Am: Celine Dion,” she talks about her struggles and wants people to know more about her condition.
She said, “This last couple of years has been such a challenge for me, the journey from discovering my condition to learning how to live with and manage it, but not to let it define me.”
Celine also wants to use her fame to help others with stiff-person syndrome. She said, “During this absence, I decided I wanted to document this part of my life, to try to raise awareness of this little-known condition, to help others who share this diagnosis.”
