JD Vance, who is Donald Trump’s vice-presidential candidate, defended his 2021 comments where he called some Democratic politicians “bunch of childless cat ladies with miserable lives.”
Many people, including actress Jennifer Aniston, criticized Vance’s comments.
Vance explained to Megyn Kelly on Friday that his remarks were meant to criticize the Democratic Party for being against families and children, not to attack individuals without children.
Vance, who has three children, said his comments were about how having kids changes one’s perspective and how he feels society is against having children.
He mentioned that leaders without children, like Kamala Harris, do not have a direct stake in the future of the country.
