Peter Okoye, a member of the famous Nigerian music duo P-Square, has voiced his frustration with his brother, Paul, over comments made in recent interviews.
Beyond Boders recalls that Paul had claimed that he was responsible for writing and singing 99% of P-Square’s songs, a statement that Peter found deeply hurtful.
On Monday, Peter took to X.com to express his disappointment. He listed several songs he contributed to, such as “Ejeajo,” “Get-Squared,” “Bizzy Body,” and “Personally,” which he feels Paul has ignored in his claims.
Peter wrote, “My dear brother Paul, Just like I have told you several times, I am not in any competition with you or anybody else. However, seeing you grant countless interviews where you constantly discredit my efforts in the group that we both created and built together really speaks volumes.”
He pointed out that Paul’s use of “I” and “me” in interviews makes it seem like he was the sole force behind P-Square, while Peter always referred to their work as a team effort.

He also reminded Paul that their fans loved P-Square for their combined talents, not just for one person’s contribution.
Peter also addressed the impact of their ongoing feud on their legacy, saying that instead of reclaiming their top spot in the music industry together, Paul has chosen to work against him.
He urged his brother to recognize the importance of their partnership, which made P-Square a powerful force in African music.
Peter concluded by wishing Paul the best, but emphasized that the group’s success was built on their unity, not individual efforts.
He also hinted at addressing other issues, including a matter involving the EFCC, in the near future.
The brothers have been pursuing solo careers as Mr. P and Rudeboy since their last breakup, but the tension between them continues to draw public attention.
