Former U.S. President Barack Obama has shared his annual summer playlist, and it includes music from Nigerian stars Tems and Rema.
Obama picked Tems’ song “Love Me Jeje” and Rema’s track “Yayo” as some of his favourite African songs this summer.
Also on the playlist is South African artiste Tyla with her song “Jump,” which features Gunna and Skillibeng.
The playlist also features “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” by Nigerian-American country singer Shaboozey, which ranks as the top song on Obama’s list.
Obama shared the playlist on Monday through X (formerly Twitter), saying, “With summer winding down, I wanted to share some songs that I’ve been listening to lately – and it wouldn’t be my playlist if it didn’t include an eclectic mix. I hope you find something new to listen to!”
