Nigerian Afropop artiste Chike has responded to criticism in an unexpected way by giving a troll N1 million.
The troll had accused Chike of gaining fame from his collaboration with the late musician Mohbad, who passed away after their hit song “Egwu” was released.
The troll, known as @hate_ofx on social media, mocked Chike, saying that his success was only because of Mohbad.
Chike, who is known for his clever comebacks, replied to the troll by offering him N1 million, implying that the troll’s negative comments were due to hunger.
The online exchange started when the troll said, “Mohbad made you,” to which Chike responded, “Your mother made you.”

Despite this, the troll kept up his attack, leading Chike to say, “I know say na hunger. Hunger boy, Oya and eat,” and then actually sent him the money.
