The sad death of Nigerian gospel singer Aduke Ajayi, known by many as Aduke Gold, has caused a lot of reactions on social media as her fans grieve her loss.
There have been different stories about what led to her death, but her brother has cleared the air. He said she did not die during surgery, which many people had believed.
Beyond Boders recalls that earlier on Tuesday, August 13, a radio presenter in Ibadan, Yemi Sonde, claimed during his show that Aduke Gold died while undergoing surgery for fibroids.
However, a video has now emerged online, showing her brother, Pastor Ajayi Aderogbo, addressing the real cause of her death. He explained that Aduke Gold had been suffering from cervical cancer and that the rumours about surgery were not true.
Pastor Ajayi also shared that the family has received a death certificate from the hospital confirming the cause of death.
