Raheem Sterling Joins Four ‘Big Six’ Premier League Teams

by Beyondboders

Raheem Sterling, an English forward, has achieved a rare milestone in Premier League history.

On Friday, Sterling joined Arsenal on a loan deal from Chelsea, making him the second player ever to play for four of the league’s “Big Six” clubs. The first player to do this was Nicolas Anelka.

Both Sterling and Anelka have played for Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea, and Arsenal.

Sterling spent four seasons at Liverpool, seven at Manchester City where he won four league titles, two at Chelsea, and now he is set for at least one season with Arsenal.

While it seems unlikely, Sterling, now 29, could still aim to play for Manchester United and/or Tottenham Hotspur to become the first player to feature for all six top clubs.

Anelka, who also played for other teams across Europe, began with three seasons at Arsenal, one with Liverpool, three at Manchester City, and five at Chelsea during his 20-year career.

Sterling might play his first game for Arsenal on September 15, in the North London Derby against Tottenham.
