Team Nigeria’s para powerlifter, Esther Nworgu, has won a silver medal in the Para powerlifting competition for the up to 41kg category, lifting 118kg.
Nworgu set new Paralympic Records twice, first with a lift of 112kg, and then with her final lift of 118kg.
Chinese lifter Cui Zhe won the gold medal with a lift of 119kg. It was a close contest, but Cui Zhe had the advantage of lifting after Nworgu.
