Turkey has accused Israel of trying to extend the war in Gaza to Lebanon, following a series of deadly explosions in areas controlled by Hezbollah.
On Thursday, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan expressed concern over the growing violence.
Speaking on state-run TRT television, Fidan said, “The escalation in the region is alarming. We see Israel mounting its attacks towards Lebanon step by step.”
In just two days, the explosions have killed 32 people, including two children, and left over 3,000 injured, according to Lebanon’s health ministry.
Israel has not made any official statement about these explosions, which targeted Hezbollah members in supermarkets, funerals, and on the streets.

However, Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant hinted at a possible shift in focus to Lebanon, saying, “The centre of gravity is moving northward,” referring to Israel’s border with Lebanon.
Turkey blamed Israel for the explosions. “We have come to a point where these operations carried out by Israel have become increasingly provocative, and in return, Iran, Hezbollah and elements close to them have no choice but respond,” Fidan added.
