Movie star Ini Edo shocked the internet on Sunday when she posted what looked like a wedding announcement.
Ini, who had previously married Nigerian-American businessman Philip Ehiagwina on November 29, 2008, before divorcing in 2014, shared a post on Instagram that got fans talking.
In the post, the 42-year-old actress wore a traditional Efik wedding dress. The message hinted that her wedding was coming soon, and she revealed she had been engaged for three months.
Her post encouraged people not to give up on love. She wrote, “That bright Sunday morning six months ago, while on vacation, we crossed paths, and our lives never remained the same. Exactly three months later, you asked me to be with you forever. How did I get so lucky? They say, ‘Your flaws are perfect for the heart meant to love you.’ I now wholeheartedly believe this. One of three done.”
“My fairytale wedding is almost here. To anyone out there who has given up on their happily ever after, kove will find you, and when it does, ready or not, it’ll be the best thing that ever happened to you.”

As fans poured in congratulatory messages, many were in for a surprise. What seemed like a real wedding announcement turned out to be a publicity stunt for a new series.
During the BBNaija live eviction show on Sunday, host Ebuka and Biggie added to the trick. A bride appeared on stage crying, which left viewers confused.
Soon after, Ebuka linked it to Ini’s Instagram post and revealed that it was part of the promotion for “My Fairy Tale Wedding,” a four-part series starring Ini Edo.
Ini later confirmed that the series will premiere on October 20, just three weeks after BBNaija ends. It will air every Sunday on Africa Magic Showcase.
The series tells the story of a young woman who uses magic (Kayanmata) to win the heart of Lagos’ most eligible bachelor, but as her search for true love takes a magical turn, she discovers the high cost of her desires.
The show will feature stars like Shaffy Bello, Ramsey Nouah, Tina Mba, Binta Ayo Mogaji, Carolyne Danjuma, Etim Effiong, and Lilian Esoro.
