Paris Jackson, daughter of the famous singer Michael Jackson, has explained why her father picked the actress Elizabeth Taylor to be her godmother.
Michael wanted someone who understood what it was like to grow up in the public eye from a young age. He believed that Taylor, who started acting at just seven years old, would be a good role model for Paris, who spent her childhood trying to avoid the spotlight.
In a documentary about Elizabeth Taylor called “Elizabeth Taylor: Rebel Superstar,” Paris talked about how her father thought they would share similar experiences. Paris mentioned that she was homeschooled and had trouble being socially aware because she did not spend much time with other kids. She felt that Taylor would understand her situation because the actress went through something similar.
Elizabeth Taylor, a famous Hollywood star, started acting in 1939 and passed away in 2011, two years after Michael Jackson’s death in 2009.
Taylor and Michael Jackson were very close friends, and she even attended his memorial service to support Paris and her brothers, Prince and Bigi.
