The ARISE Youth Employment Portal is a new platform where job seekers can find job opportunities based on their skills.

Governor Eno encouraged both the public and private sectors to use the portal to post jobs for young people.

“Today, I am pleased and happy to launch that employment Portal: The Arise Youth Employment Portal, where job opportunities will be segmented according to skill set,” Governor Eno said.

He also said the portal would be used to manage different programmes like the 200 Health/Safety monitors, 3000 personnel for Ibom Watch, and empowerment initiatives such as Youth Business Support, ARISE Entrepreneurial Support, and Bursary Educational Grants.

Governor Eno thanked Dr. Frank Ekpenyong, the Senior Special Assistant on ICT, and his team for their hard work in bringing the vision of the portal to life. He urged everyone to take advantage of the new initiative.

Dr. Ekpenyong, who spoke about how the portal works, said it was made to open up the labour market and give state indigenes better access to job opportunities.

The Head of Civil Service, Elder Effiong Essien, also praised the portal as a major step in the state’s recruitment system. He said it will give qualified people in the state a chance to get jobs in the civil service using advanced technology.

Engineer Uwem Okoko, CEO of Hensek Integrated Services, representing the private sector, praised the Governor for launching the portal. He said it came at the perfect time, as more workers are needed in the construction industry.

The event ended with Governor Eno and his Deputy, Senator Akon Eyakenyi, officially unveiling the employment portal.
