Mrs. Modupe Dada, wife of Mike Dada, the President of the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA), will be buried today, October 24, 2024, after a funeral service at Grace Assembly, Oregun-Ikeja, Lagos.
Mrs. Dada passed away last Saturday. Many important personalities are expected to attend the ceremony. People have been sending messages of sympathy to the Dada family since her passing.
Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, expressed his sadness in a condolence message. He said that Modupe was a strong support for her husband’s success in the African media and creative industry.
“Her legacy will continue to inspire and uplift us all,” he added.
Governor of Enugu State, Peter Mbah, also sent his condolences, describing Mrs. Dada as a woman of great virtue who was a strong pillar in her husband’s life.
Former Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode, who knew Modupe during his time as Accountant-General, praised her for her quiet strength and support for her husband’s work in promoting African music.
Several dignitaries, including former Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed, and media owner Dele Momodu, have visited the family to offer their condolences.
The family continues to receive support as they mourn her loss.
