In West Palm Beach, Florida, former President Donald Trump took to the stage, thanking his supporters and giving special praise to Elon Musk, calling him a “rising star” in American politics.
Trump addressed the excited crowd, saying, “We have a new star, a star is born. Elon, he is an amazing guy.”
Trump described Musk, the billionaire CEO of Tesla, as “a special guy, a super genius,” adding, “We have to protect our geniuses; we don’t have that many of them.”
He noted Musk’s active support in the campaign, especially in Pennsylvania, a key battleground state.
Musk, the world’s wealthiest man, invested over $130 million into Trump’s campaign and other Republican efforts, helping the party in crucial races.
Musk’s super PAC, America PAC, has promised to keep supporting conservative candidates and causes, even after the election.
Major networks announced early Wednesday that Trump had won Pennsylvania, securing a major victory and pushing Vice President Kamala Harris out of the race for the White House.
This result brings Trump close to a historic return to office, marking a major political comeback. His running mate, Senator JD Vance, called it “the greatest political comeback in American history.”
If successful, Trump would become only the second person to lose the presidency and regain it later, following his controversial exit in 2021.
Trump also assured supporters that Republicans would maintain control of the House of Representatives, though official results were still pending.
House Speaker Mike Johnson, whom Trump commended for ‘doing a great job,” joined him onstage, adding to the party’s optimism.
With Trump nearing a return to the White House, he thanked his supporters and allies, setting the stage for a new chapter in his political journey.
