Nigerian singer Destiny Boy, also known as Afeez Adeshina, has welcomed his first child with his partner, Iremide, sparking a buzz online.
The 20-year-old musician shared the joyful news on Instagram early Wednesday, posting pictures of his partner and their newborn son.
Destiny Boy expressed his happiness, thanking God for the arrival of his first child: “Alhamdulillah. Junior is here. My first boy,” he wrote.
While many fans and colleagues congratulated the couple in the comments, others sparked a debate, with some suggesting that Nigerian men should focus more on making money than on good looks.
Destiny Boy, who began his music career at a young age, is known for blending Fuji music with modern sounds.
He started out as a backup dancer for the famous Fuji artiste Pasuma before gaining recognition with his 2019 Fuji cover of Davido’s “If.”
Since then, he has released several songs, including “Lamba,” “One Transaction,” “Gbese,” and “Billion Dollar.”
