Tobi Adegboyega, a Nigerian pastor living in the UK, has responded to reports about his possible deportation to Nigeria.
Adegboyega, once the leader of the Salvation Proclaimers Anointed Church (SPAC Nation), addressed the matter on Instagram. He reassured his supporters and shared his side of the story.
The pastor, who is related to popular actor John Boyega, has faced legal issues after accusations of financial misconduct against his church.
Reports say SPAC Nation was investigated for fraud involving around £1.87 million. This led to the church being shut down, and the UK immigration tribunal later ordered Adegboyega’s deportation.
Speaking on social media, Adegboyega said: “I’ve heard a lot today, and I’m doing this because our friends, our fans, people who are worried. I’m right here at home, no cause for alarm… Every Nigerian should be proud of me.”
He called the deportation case unimportant and declared his love for London, which he described as his city.
