The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has dismissed claims circulating on social media that Bello Turji, a wanted terrorist leader, has been arrested by troops in the North West region of Nigeria.
In a statement, Major General Edward Buba, the Director of Defence Media Operations, urged the public to ignore the false reports. He said, “All news regarding the arrest of Bello Turji by troops should be treated as fake news, please.”
The military emphasized that the information is untrue and asked citizens to rely on verified updates from official sources.
