Abba Kyari, the former boss of the Intelligence Response Team (IRT), has been let out from the Kuje Custodial Centre in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) after being there for 27 months.
Beyond Boders recalls that he got arrested on February 14, 2022, by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for supposed involvement in an international drug group.
The Nigerian Correctional Service for the FCT Command spokesperson, Adamu Duza, said Kyari got out on Friday, May 31, 2024, after meeting the conditions for his release.
“DCP Kyari has perfected his bail conditions, and has since been released today,” said the spokesperson to newsmen.
