Customers of Access Bank Plc have expressed frustration after a system upgrade disrupted internet banking, ATM services, and Point of Sale (POS) transactions.
The bank had announced that the upgrade would take place from 3:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Sunday, but the process continued beyond the scheduled time.
“Your trust means everything to us, and that’s why we’re making important upgrades to serve you better.
“As we enhance our banking system to bring you a smoother and more efficient experience, some services may be temporarily affected.
“We are sorry for the inconvenience and truly appreciate your patience and trust,” Access Bank said.
In another statement, the bank promised that all services would be restored by 5:00 PM.
“We know waiting isn’t easy, and we truly appreciate your patience as we put the finishing touches in place. By 5:00 PM today, Sunday, February 23, 2025, all services will be fully restored!” the bank said.
Despite the update, many customers took to social media platform X to complain about the delay and service disruptions. Some customers said they were not informed about the upgrade, while others were upset that the process extended beyond the initial deadline. The topic “Access Bank” is currently trending on X.
