Popular Nigerian crossdresser, Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, has denied claims that he paid N15 million to officers of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The accusation was made by social media influencer, Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan.
In an audio that went viral, Bobrisky was accused of paying the money to EFCC officers to have money laundering charges against him dropped. This led to a response from the EFCC, as their Head of Media, Dele Oyewale, said that the EFCC Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, had ordered an investigation into the matter.
However, on Wednesday morning, Bobrisky took to Instagram to clear the air. He denied giving any money to the EFCC officers and said the voice recording spreading on the internet is fake.
He also explained that he had served his full jail term and did not try to avoid it with bribes.

Bobrisky wrote, “My attention has been drawn to a fake voice recording circulating on the internet that I paid EFCC 15 million naira, and that I was never in prison… I didn’t pay any EFCC money, which is a very big lie. I served my term in full, and I came out. Discard any false information.”
