Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, two of Hollywood’s most famous actors, have finally ended their long legal fight over their divorce. The agreement was finalized on Monday, according to People Magazine.
Jolie’s lawyer, James Simon, confirmed the news and said she wants peace and healing for her family.
“This is just one part of a long ongoing process that started eight years ago. Frankly, Angelina is exhausted, but she is relieved this one part is over,” Simon explained.
The couple, once seen as Hollywood’s most glamorous pair, separated in September 2016. Since then, they have been in court over different issues.
In 2018, they agreed on how to share custody of their six children, three of whom are adopted. However, this arrangement has faced challenges over the years.
Pitt, 61, and Jolie, 49, have also fought over the sale of Jolie’s part of Chateau Miraval, a vineyard in southern France where they married.
The two first became a couple after acting together in the 2005 movie “Mr. and Mrs. Smith. At that time, Pitt was married to actress Jennifer Aniston.
