The late Nigerian music legend, Onyeka Onwenu, also known as the “Elegant Stallion,” will be laid to rest today in Lagos.
Beyond Boders recalls that Onyeka Onwenu passed away on July 30 at Reddington Hospital in Ikeja. She collapsed during an event held in honour of Dr. Stella Okoli, the Managing Director of Emzor Pharmaceuticals.
According to the family, the funeral service will be held at the Fountain of Life Church in Ilupeju. This will be followed by a private burial at a vault in Ikoyi.
The funeral flyer also mentioned that the Service of Songs will take place from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., while the burial is scheduled between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
