Chido Obi-Martin, the 16-year-old football talent, has announced that he is leaving Arsenal.
Manchester United is still waiting for a final decision on whether he will join them, while Bayern Munich is also interested in signing him.
Last season, Obi-Martin gained attention with his outstanding performance for Arsenal’s Academy team. He scored seven goals in a single match against Norwich City, and earlier, he netted five goals against West Ham and four goals each against Crystal Palace and Fulham.
His impressive skills have made him a hot topic this summer as he decides on his next club.
In a brief message on Instagram, Obi-Martin thanked Arsenal, saying, “Thank you, Arsenal,” and expressed his gratitude for the support he received during his four years with the club.
He also thanked the coaches, staff, and teammates at Hale End for their guidance and support.
Manchester United has been working on signing Obi-Martin this summer. He has already visited their Carrington training facility, and they are considered the favourites to sign him.
Arsenal will receive compensation if the transfer goes through. However, Bayern Munich is also reportedly interested in the young star, who joined Arsenal from FC Copenhagen at the age of 14.
