A court has ordered Multichoice Nigeria to give DStv and GOtv users a free month of subscription.
This decision comes along with a fine of N150 million imposed on the company.
The Competition and Consumer Protection Tribunal issued this order after Multichoice challenged the court’s authority.
Beyond Boders recalls that the court had earlier stopped Multichoice from raising its subscription prices.
The ruling was given on Friday, June 7th, by a three-person panel headed by Justice Thomas Okosu.
