Nigerian music star Davido, officially known as David Adeleke, has made history by achieving the highest number of viewers ever recorded on a TikTok live stream in Africa.
As spotted by Beyond Boders, his live session attracted a total of 389,800 viewers.
This record-breaking live stream happened on Wednesday, October 30, and was co-hosted by popular TikTok influencers Peller, Jarvis, and Jo Blaq.
At one point, over 164,000 people watched the live broadcast at the same time.
During the stream, Davido received over 377 “lion” gifts from fans on TikTok. Each lion gift costs around $400. Davido announced that the earnings from these gifts would go to his co-hosts, Peller, Jarvis, and Jo Blaq.
