Drug Reaction Might Have Caused Mohbad’s Death – Autopsy

by Beyondboders

A recent autopsy report has suggested that the Nigerian singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad, might have died from a drug reaction.

The tests were done at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, as learned by Beyond Boders.

The report showed that Mohbad might have suffered a severe allergic reaction, also known as anaphylactic shock, which can be deadly.

Tests found traces of Diphenhydramine, an allergy medicine, in his body. However, the amount found was not enough to be fatal.

Doctors took samples from his stomach, blood, bone marrow, liver, kidney, and lungs for testing.

They also noticed an injury on his right forearm and found that his body was moderately to severely decomposed when it was exhumed eight days after his burial.

The report noted that Mohbad’s body was not examined or preserved before his burial, making it hard to determine the exact cause of death. The tests did not find any signs of drug overdose or poisoning.

The report concluded that while a fatal allergic reaction could be possible, it couldn’t be confirmed because of the condition of the body and the time elapsed since burial.

“The possibility of a fatal anaphylactic shock (drug reaction) could be considered in view of the absence of any significant post-mortem and toxicology findings,” the report stated.

Recall that Mohbad was 27 years old and a former artiste with Naira Marley’s record label, Marlian Music.

He died on September 12, 2023, under unclear circumstances, leading to widespread public concern.

Following his death, the Lagos State Police set up a special team to investigate. This led to the arrest of Naira Marley, Balogun Eletu (also known as Sam Larry), and others.
