El-Johnson Academy has announced a new ₦10,000 registration fee for all students per diet. This new fee is part of changes made to improve learning and performance, especially after the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) released its new syllabus with added and updated courses.
Speaking exclusively with Beyond Boders, the lead tutor, Mr. Johnson Leke, explained that although lectures at the Academy will still be free, the new fee is meant to make students more serious and encourage tutors to continue giving their best.
“From past experience, we noticed that due to the open door policy employed by the Academy, there existed the trend of unserious students distracting the serious minded ones from participating actively in lectures.
“We believe this new development would help filter the serious minded ones, making them committed to the goal of finishing with good grades,” he said.
Mr. Leke also stated that the Academy remains committed to helping students and giving back to the society.
He added that more effort will be made this diet to provide qualified tutors, record all lectures for YouTube, and create a better lecture timetable so all students can learn easily.
He appreciated the Academy’s tutors, saying, “We thank our able tutors who go out of their way to give their best and are committed to the big dream of giving back to the society.”
Beyond Boders notes that since the Academy started, over 1,000 students have passed their ICAN exams and joined the Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) community, as shown in the screenshots below:
El-Johnson Academy therefore welcomes support and partnerships from kind Nigerians who want to help more students succeed.
