Nigerian music star, Davido, is facing heavy criticism online for speaking too fast without knowing all the facts.
He had earlier attacked the Osun State Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Umar Abba, over the political crisis in the state. However, he later apologized, admitting that his emotions made him act without thinking.
Davido had warned the commissioner to respect the rule of law and not to “try” him. But in a sudden U-turn, he took to social media to say sorry, explaining that he reacted out of anger due to the tragic loss of lives.
He also praised the commissioner and the security agencies for their efforts in maintaining peace.
His apology did not sit well with many people. Some netizens mocked him for being too quick to attack and later taking back his words. Others slammed him for letting emotions control his actions, with some even saying, “Emotions are for women.”
While a few people praised Davido for being humble enough to admit his mistake, many still believe he should have gathered all the facts before making strong accusations.
