FC Barcelona has announced a new transfer, bringing Pau Victor to the club until June 30, 2029.
According to the club’s statement, “FC Barcelona and Girona FC have reached an agreement for the player Pau Victor to remain linked to the Barca club.”
Pau Victor began his career at Junior FC at age six, then moved to Sabadell as a teenager. He joined Girona’s academy and quickly moved up to the reserve team.
Over the 2019/2020 and 2020/2021 seasons, he made eight appearances in the Segunda Division.
In the 2022/2023 season, Pau Victor was loaned back to Sabadell, where he scored seven goals and provided six assists.
He joined Barca Atletic, Barcelona’s reserve team, for the 2023/2024 season and scored 20 goals. This performance led Barcelona to buy him outright, despite initially letting a $3.25 million buy option expire.
Reports say the final transfer fee is $2.7 million plus additional variables. Pau Victor is expected to join the team for their preseason tour in the U.S. and could compete with Robert Lewandowski for a spot in the first team.
