Gospel singer, Ajayi Aduke Morounkola, known as Aduke Gold, has sadly passed away.
Her death was confirmed early Tuesday morning, August 13, by her colleague, Esther Igbekele.
Esther shared the news on her verified Facebook page, saying, “A GENERAL HAS FALLEN. ADUKE GOLD #rip”
Aduke Gold, originally from Ilesha, grew up in the Ogba and Badagry areas of Lagos. She was from a large family, being the 11th child of her late parents.
She first gained attention with a live performance at the first remembrance event for the late gospel singer Baba Ara. She began her professional music career in 2004.

Her song “Nitori Ogo,” released in 2021, also brought her more fame.
Besides her music career, Aduke Gold was a passionate educator who loved teaching young children.
She graduated with a degree in History and International Relations from Lagos State University and later earned a second degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Lagos.
