Pastor Odumeje, a controversial preacher, has blamed billionaire Aliko Dangote for not listening to his warning about a disaster at Dangote’s refinery.
Pastor Odumeje had predicted trouble at the refinery, but Dangote did not pay attention.
Beyond Boders recalls that a fire recently broke out at the Dangote Petroleum Refinery in Lekki Free Zone, Lagos, Nigeria, on June 26, 2024.
The fire started at the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) and caused thick, dark smoke, leading to panic and evacuation in the area. The fire damaged the refinery and affected some workers.
During his Sunday preaching, Pastor Odumeje said Dangote’s pride and refusal to believe in the prophecy led to the disaster. He insisted that if Dangote had listened, the refinery would not have burned, and he would not have to spend billions of dollars on repairs.
Pastor Odumeje said, “If Dangote humbled himself to come here, that refinery would not burn. He will not spend that money; he is spending billions of dollars to repair the factory because of pride and looking down on a prophet.”
