Nollywood actress Ngozi Ezeonu has voiced her concern over the way some young ladies dressed for a recent audition.
In a video shared widely online on Wednesday, Ezeonu, who was a judge at the audition, expressed her displeasure after noticing that two of the ladies arrived without wearing bras.
Ezeonu, known for her veteran status in the Nigerian movie industry, did not hold back her frustration. She told the young women that their outfit choices were not suitable for the occasion and warned that anyone appearing in such attire would be disqualified immediately.
The video, posted on TikTok by #mrdoingscartel, shows Ezeonu firmly telling the ladies that their dressing was inappropriate for a professional setting.
She questioned who they were trying to impress and reminded them that she never dressed like that, even in her younger days.
Ezeonu said, “Any day I’m on any audition table and anyone comes to me dressed like this, I will disqualify that person.
“How can you come to an audition without a bra and with a crop top? It’s wrong.
“Who are you trying to impress? That’s why people see us as people who are not serious. I’m a serious-minded actor; you can’t catch me dressed like this, even when I was your age. It’s wrong. You carry breasts, leave breasts without a bra — ahnahn, why?”
Her comments sparked a conversation online about proper dressing and professionalism in the entertainment industry.
