Popular Nigerian singer, Joeboy, has stirred up social media after losing a huge N3million bet when Arsenal defeated Real Madrid 3-0 in the UEFA Champions League quarter-final first leg.
Before the match on Tuesday night, Joeboy shared a betting slip online with the words: “Cashing out on Arsenal tears tonight!” hoping Real Madrid would win at the Emirates Stadium.
If Madrid had won, Joeboy could have taken home over N10 million. Sadly for him, things went the other way.
Arsenal’s Declan Rice scored two free-kicks, and Mikel Merino added another goal to seal the 3-0 victory. The surprising result left Joeboy speechless. He simply posted “Goodnight” on his social media after the game.
Arsenal will now travel to Spain to face Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu for the second leg next week Wednesday, hoping to finish the job and reach the semi-final.
Before that, they face Brentford in the Premier League.
