Galatasaray coach Okan Buruk has shared his thoughts on the future of Victor Osimhen, a star striker on loan from Napoli.
As the January transfer window approaches, there are growing rumours about Osimhen’s next move.
Despite these speculations, Buruk believes Osimhen will stay at Galatasaray until the end of the season. The coach explained that the player is happy at the club and has assured them of his commitment.
“I would like Osimhen’s transfer to be acquired permanently, I would like it very much as a technical director and as a fan,” Buruk said.
The coach confirmed that Osimhen is focused on the current season and has no plans to leave during the mid-season transfer window.
“He wants to be with us. He has no thoughts about the mid-season break. He always confirms this. It is not right not to press the player during this process and not to bring this issue to the agenda,” Buruk added.
The Galatasaray manager also emphasized the importance of keeping the player calm and focused on his game. He revealed that the club’s leadership is working towards the possibility of signing Osimhen permanently after the season.
“Everyone wants Osimhen on their team, 80-90 percent of them are technical directors, we can include the presidents in this.
“When Osimhen was directly mentioned to me, I said ‘okay’ right away, I didn’t think about it at all,” Buruk admitted.
Victor Osimhen remains a key player for Galatasaray, and the club hopes to make his stay a long-term one. However, the final decision will likely come at the end of the season.
