A new documentary titled “Is it Your Money? The Story of Diezani Alison-Madueke” will be released later this year, announced by Nigerian TV host, Chude Jideonwo.
The film focuses on Diezani Alison-Madueke, the former Nigerian petroleum minister.
This documentary which Jideonwo calls the “biggest-budget docu-series from our dear country,” has been in the making for over two years and involved a team of more than 100 people.
It was filmed across three countries and eight cities. The team investigated both confirmed and alleged stolen funds in 15 different locations and interviewed investigators from the FBI, the MET Police, and the EFCC, giving the film a global view.
Diezani Alison-Madueke, who was Nigeria’s first female Minister of Petroleum Resources and the first female president of OPEC, faces several corruption charges.
The documentary explores these allegations and the legal actions against her, including charges from the UK’s National Crime Agency.
The film is a collaborative effort, co-produced by Judith Audu, Eromo Egbejule, and Chude Jideonwo, with executive producers Jideonwo, Mfon Ekpo, ‘Yemi Adamolekun, Mojolaoluwa Aderemi-Makinde, and Capital Film Productions.
This teamwork highlights their dedication to telling this important story.
