The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) recently shared updates on the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) application process, bringing noteworthy changes to fees and requirements.
As disclosed in a statement on its official X handle on Sunday, prospective candidates, starting January 15, can kick off their application process, which will continue until February 2024.
Unlike last year’s N4,700 registration fee, the 2024 UTME will cost N6,200, and those opting for mock exams will incur an additional N1,500 charge.
Beyond Boders further reports that JAMB emphasized that the total registration fee for the 2024 UTME, including mock exams, is N7,700, while opting out of the mock exams reduces the fee to N6,200.
Moreover, foreign candidates can obtain application documents for $30.
In a significant shift, the board announced the commencement of Direct Entry (DE) application forms from February 28 to March 28, 2024.
Notably, DE candidates are now required to take the UTME, departing from the previous practice where only those lacking specific qualifications for direct entry had to sit for the exam.
