On Thursday, Muhammadu Sanusi II, the reinstated Emir of Kano, left Port Harcourt quickly after giving a speech at the Rivers State Economic and Investment Summit.
While speaking, news broke that Sanusi was reinstated as Emir of Kano. Soon after, he exited the Obi Wali International Conference Centre with heightened security, making it hard for journalists to talk to him.
Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, congratulated Sanusi on his return as the 14th Emir of Kano.
Fubara said he was happy about the news, especially since Sanusi was in the state to support economic growth efforts.
The governor remarked that Sanusi’s removal in 2020 was not what the people of Kano wanted.
He praised the Kano State government for correcting past wrongs and asked the people to support their Emir.
Governor Fubara also called on Sanusi to lead with love, wisdom, courage, and to bring peace and fairness to Kano, while wishing him a successful reign that brings progress and prosperity to the state.
